After reaching an agreement on the trip details, either verbally, written, via telephone, internet or fax, you will receive the Reservation Form. You then sign and return the Reservation Form agreeing to the program, price, terms and conditions. You will then receive a confirmation within 14 days with a full description of everything included on an invoice.
PAYMENT
When the reservation form is signed you proceed to make your down payment of $600 dollars per person. This deposit of $600 per person is required to confirm a reservation.
Participants may reserve spaces immediately by completing the reservation form.
Full payment is due 6 weeks prior to departure.
Deposit and payment instructions will be provided on the invoice.
When full payment is received by PCJ we will send your complete travel information packet.
PCJ reserves the right to cancel a reservation if full payment has not been received by the designated final payment due date.
For reservations made after final payment is due, full payment is required when the reservation is accepted.
BASIS OF RATES
All prices are based on two persons sharing a room. Single accommodations are available with a supplement when possible. All prices and fares are quoted in U.S. dollars. The rates are based on current tariffs and are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. While we will do everything possible to maintain listed prices, if it is necessary to levy a surcharge up to 10%, we reserve the right to do so with notification prior to trip departure.
CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS
All cancellation notices must be received in writing and will become effective as of the date of the postmark.

Up to 120 days prior to travel 50% of down payment will be reimbursed
119 - 90 days prior to travel you are responsible for 40 % of full payment per person
89 - 45 days prior to travel you are responsible for 45% of full payment per person
44 - 22 days prior to travel you are responsible for 55% of full payment per person
21 -15 days prior to travel you are responsible for 65% of full payment per person
14 -7 days prior to travel you are responsible for 75% of full payment per person
6 days on prior to travel you are responsible for 85% of full payment per person
We strongly recommend all of our guests to have travel insurance.
If a traveler must leave a PCJ expedition in progress, for any reason whatsoever, we will do our best to give refunds, but we cannot assure this refund. No refunds are guaranteed for any unused portions of an expedition.
PCJ reserves the right to cancel any trip because of inadequate enrollment that makes the trip economically unfeasible to operate or because of good faith concerns with respect to the safety, health or welfare of the participants.
If PCJ or its designated Tour Operator (TO) cancels an expedition prior to departure, you will receive a full refund of monies paid to PCJ or its designated (TO). If we cancel the trip in progress you will receive a prorated refund based on the number of days not completed on the expedition.
Again, for your protection, trip cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.
RESPONSIBILITY
To ensure ethical behavior toward local ecosystems and peoples, PCJ selects TOs who have demonstrated a history of responsible tourism. PCJ will provide educational enrichment as a sponsoring organization and has selected qualified professional tour operators to organize and administer PCJ trips. The designated TO, in turn, acts only as agent for any transportation carrier, hotel, ground operator, or other suppliers of services connected with these tours.
PCJ and its designated TO shall not be held liable for (A) any damage to, or loss of, Property, or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, including but not limited to any defect in any aircraft, watercraft, or vehicle operated or provided by such other provider, and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act demands, orders, or interpositions of any government or nay subdivision or agent, thereof, or by acts of God, strikes, fire, flood, war, rebellion, terrorism, insurrection, sickness, quarantine, epidemics, theft or any other cause beyond their control. The participant waives and releases any claim against PCL and /or its designated TO for any such loss, damage, injury, or death and each participant is required to sign a confirmation of such waiver and release as a condition to participating in the tour.
HEALTH REQUIRMENTS
You must be in good physical and mental health. It each traveler’s responsibility to check with their doctor and confirm that they are fit for the high altitude and nature of this journey. PCJ and its designated TO reserve the right to decline to accept any person as a member of a trip or to require any traveler to withdraw from a trip at his or her own expense anytime when such an action is determined by the tour staff to be in the best interest of the health, safety and general welfare of the trip group or individual trip members.
ITINERARY AND STAFF CHANGES
The itineraries and staff presented are subject to change and modification by PCJ or its designated TO. Every reasonable effort will be made to operate programs as planned, but alterations may still occur after final itineraries are sent.
Peru Cultural Journeys E.I.R.L., is a registered educational and ecological travel company in Peru. By booking a PCJ trip, the participant agrees to the Responsibility statement and the Terms and Conditions herein.
